Sustainable Living

Annie Kenyon Architects are organising a unique Sustainable Living weekend to promote sustainable lifestyles and to raise awareness of ways we can all reduce our individual carbon footprints in every day life.

Sustainable Living aims to attract visitors from all walks of life, including business, industry and education professionals, for a lively and enjoyable day in the beautiful countryside of Aberdeenshire. The weekend will feature live music,  local food and drink, local crafts, products, businesses and activities for children and an evening ceilidh on the Saturday.  Organisers are keen to involve local businesses in the Sustainable Living event at Lochter and would like to invite you to take an exhibition stand to publicise your services or product and how they contribute to a more sustainable Scottish way of life.

Sustainable Living encompasses the following categories:

    * Built Environment – materials, techniques, sustainable design and renewable energy systems
    * Farming – techniques and local produce (food and drink)
    * Transport – alternatives to car use, car pooling, environmentally friendly cars, buying local products
    * Waste reduction: Water (using water wisely, using non-bottled water); materials (recycling)
    * Education & Community: effect of not living sustainably, school competitions to design posters/exhibition stand, talks and films
    * Nature and Biodiversity

If anyone would like to book an exhibition stand or find out any information, please contact the AKA office by email at annie@akenyonarchitects.com or : 01464 851621 or by visiting our website at: www.sustainablelivingscotland.com.
