Architecture and Design Scotland
17 Dec 2004
The Scottish Executive has announced the three main players in Architecture and Design Scotland, the body that will replace the Royal Fine Art Commission for Scotland. Raymond Young OBE, an architect and former senior member of staff at Scottish Homes, will chair the new organisation, with architect Malcolm Fraser and Professor Brian Evans, a partner in urban designers Gillespies, as deputy chairs. The appointments, which are part time and unpaid, will run till spring 2009. Architecture and Design Scotland is expected to act as a Scottish version of CABE, inspiring better design in the built environment. If you have any views on this or any other issue raised on the Prospect website, join the debate in the Forum.
