Review of Kahn film brands architects ‘bores’

Architects have been branded “self-important bores” in a review of Nathaniel Kahn’s film about his father Louis Kahn, My Architect.
Though full of praise for the film itself, which was given a 5 out of 5 rating, Nick Barley, editor of the Scottish entertainment magazine The List, kicked off his critique with the line, “just what is it about architecture that makes it so tedious?”
Barley then goes on to say, “architects are often self-important bores, and their debate is often arcane. Yet who hasn’t had a gobsmacking encounter with an awe-inspiring building?”
