Lochrin basin

Planners have granted approval for M&M Lochrin Ltd’s plans for Lochrin basin. Michael Laird Architects’ proposed £35million residential development will link the southern area of the basin to Edinburgh Quay. The 154-apartment development is grouped in two five-storey blocks around a central space, and clad with red brick, steel cladding, white render and pre-cast concrete. The original canal basin, once part of Edinburgh’s Union canal, will be reinstated.
