Thursday 24 May 5.45pm The Lighthouse, Glasgow.

As part of the Six Cities Festival, Prospect and The Lighthouse are organising a debate on the future of the city. The purpose of the event is to stimulate a discussion about the character of the contemporary city, looking at both ‘post–industrial’ cities, like Glasgow, and expanding urban centres across the world.

The speakers will be Keith Brownlie from Wilkinson Eyre, the designer of Newcastle’s Stirling Prize-winning bridge, artist Toby Paterson and writer and commentator Austin Williams.

Each speaker will give a short presentation and then we will embark on a Question-Time-style debate. Tickets for the event are free and should be ordered by calling 0141 204 4400. For more information contact penny.lewis@carnyx.com

If you have any views on this or any other issue raised on the Prospect website, join the debate in the Forum.
