Irvine Bay Regeneration Company has kick started its £100 million plans with two major developments. The URC has drawn up a shortlist of potential development partners for a £30 million mixed-use scheme at Irvine Harbour, which includes high profile developers Urban Splash alongside Bank Developments, Miller Homes and Dawn.

The developers are working with architects Reiach and Hall, gm+ad, Fraser Brown McKenna and Dignan Read Dewar and Anderson Bell Christie to come up with plans for the former industrial site, which sits across the water from the former Big Idea centre. The £30 million project, adjacent to the town’s popular Harbour district, will include new homes, commercial premises and
leisure facilities.

The second proposal is for an 18-hole links golf course with golfing, hotel and other facilities on a 171-acre beachfront site. Expressions of interest are being sought and a shortlist of bidders is expected to be prepared in early December.
