Planning permission has been approved for a hotel and residential development, designed by CDA Architects, at the former site of BBC Scotland headquarters in Glasgow’s West End.

QMD Glasgow Ltd – formed by developers Applecross, Esk and Blackrock- will strip back the modern aspects of the building and reuse the existing listed buildings as a hotel complex.

The hotel will have over 80 bedrooms as well as a bar, restaurant, and function room. The residential plans include 180 flats and three townhouses.
