RIAS announces shortlist for 2008 RIBA Awards

The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) has announced a Scottish shortlist of 10 buildings for the 2008 RIBA Awards.
The judging panel is chaired this year by Jamie Fobert, architect and winner of the 2003 Manser Medal, and also includes Arnie Dunn, President of the RIAS and Daphne Thissen, Acting Head of the Press and Culture Department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

RIAS President, Arnie Dunn, said: "We are delighted that Scotland has once again come up with such a strong list of submissions. These buildings are undoubtedly among the best in the UK and we are hopeful that Scotland will achieve a significant number of RIBA awards this year."

An announcement of the jury's decision will be made on 29th May.

The shortlist for Scotland comprises the following buildings:
