Duddingston House Properties have secured detailed planning consent for their comprehensive redevelopment of the former Job Centre building at 24-26 Torphichen Street in the city centre.
The 60s building will undergo a comprehensive redevelopment to create approximately 40,000 sqft of new open plan office accommodation which will be available for lease. Designed by award winning architects Bennetts Associates, the building will incorporate an additional floor of accommodation as well as solar powered heating and natural ventilation.

To be known as ³aymarket Green, the building will offer open plan office accommodation in suites from c500sqm (5382sqft) in close proximity to Haymarket Station.

“We are delighted to have now received planning consent for Haymarket Green and are confident that its green credentials together with its proximity to Haymarket Station and floor plate size will ensure its early success making it one of Edinburgh’s true sustainable office buildings”, said Bruce Hare of Duddingston House Properties.

Cameron Stott of Jones Lang LaSalle added “The location, between Edinburgh’s Exchange District and Haymarket Station is becoming increasingly important with proposals to redevelop the Haymarket Goods Yard and the tram line running close by. The site is also located very close to the EICC”.
