IFSD swallows Brown Street
A development of 288 private and serviced apartments from Frasers Property promises to be the latest addition to Glasgow’s burgeoning International Financial Services District.

RMJM have been handed the architectural reigns on the Brown Street project and are presently finalising designs in anticipation of a Summer 2008 planning submission with completion scheduled for 2011.

In addition to Fraser Suites Serviced Apartments a business centre will be provided with ground level commercial use throughout.  Dwellings form around a medium rise cluster of towers rising to 18 floors, these frame a landscaped courtyard and water feature for the pleasure of both residents and public.

Brown Street forms part of a UK expansion drive from Frasers Property, the development arm of Singapore conglomerate Fraser & Neave, after Frasers took a controlling stake in residential developer Fairbriar from Scarborough Group and Bank of Scotland Corporate.

Dr Stanley Quek of Frasers Property said: "The incorporation of Fairbriar into Frasers Property provides us with a nationwide development portfolio and will transform Frasers into a national brand".

Over the next five years we will see major development opportunities both in central London and in the UK’s leading regional cities.
