7 Apr 2006

Jane Ripley, the director of the Scottish Executive’s Six Cities project, has been sacked after just a few months in the job. The director was responsible for co-ordinating the activities of individual cities for the festival that is due to take place in spring 2007. The Scottish Executive does not plan to replace Ripley immediately; Stuart MacDonald, the director of the Lighthouse, will oversee the work of the existing staff.
