Practice Statement

DO was formed by Adrian Stewart in 2005, and is a small Glasgow Based multi-disciplinary studio, and a limited company.

We operate as a small collaborative team, combining the skills of architects and artists to produce innovative and unique solutions at each design challenge we meet.

We use a simple process of observation, investigation, analysis and experimentation with consultation, intending to understand then raise the aspirations of the Client, brief and site.

It is our goal each time to unlock the full potential of each project with an innovative, exciting and sustainable solution.

Our primary role in architecture is to create new buildings and spaces, and to re-model the existing built environment, however we also feel the need to respond and react to man-made environments and spaces created, altered or left over by others, for this we use illumination and intervention.

DO are fully committed to education in architecture, we teach at both The Mackintosh School of Architecture and Strathclyde University.
